Steampunk Girl
Hi All! I hope everyone is having a good day. After many days of rain here, it finally looks like we may have a few dry hours today. Yay! Yard work! In light of this small window of opportunity, I’ll be out there trying to get some things done. For today, I’ve posted this little preliminary sketch I had done for a painting I did some time ago. I actually feel that I like this sketch better than the finished piece. It just has more spontaneity and movement to it.
Anywho, I am working on next week’s blog. (I’ll be posting more lengthy blogs on a bi-weekly basis). I’m excited about it as I will be sharing my musings on a character which is an icon that I have always had a soft spot for. I will also be adding in some fun tidbits that maybe you’ve never heard of. And I’ll cover some instances in which the art and creation of this icon has influenced a lot of people over the years and continues to do so to this day.
Some hints: There is actually more than one character, though he is the main protagonist. This character is celebrating 90 years this year. Can you guess who it is?
In the meantime I’ll post more pics, “from the sketchbook”, or other things as I get a chance. I hope you’re having a great day, see you next time!
PS: Remember to follow and like so you don’t miss anything!
Love your unique and creative art! They should have you design for the Met Ball next year! 😉
